Polishing

soundboards, unless otherwise requested, are french polished by hand. Whereas
modern finishing techniques tend towards a thicker, tougher and therefore tonally
dull finish, French polishing allows a very thin finish for increased tonality
and soundboard movement enhancing the frequency response of the instrument. |
